My company is Care Counseling Services PLLC. I was a Licensed Practical Nurse (LP/VN) for over 25 years, specializing in mental health since 2003. I earned a Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice and later obtained a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling. My post-graduate education is grounded in the study of mental health issues and how they correlate with body issues, such as pain, and chronic or terminal diseases. I base my practice on the belief that the wisdom for growth and healing lies within us, and the issues and difficulties we encounter are not roadblocks but directional signs and teachers.
I have experience in medical, acute psychiatric issues and community-based programs, all of which are essential to how I think and practice as a Mental Health Therapist. My counseling approach to is to work with you as you strive to resolve difficult feelings and examining issues that get stuck or repeat themselves in your life.
