I've helped individuals navigate challenges and improve their lives for over 10 years. I treat clients with an array of issues including relationship struggles, anxiety, trauma, panic attacks, PTSD, depression, anger, insomnia, ADD/ADHD, chronic pain, substance use/addiction and grief. I serve many clients with co-occurring disorders and have trained other therapists. I specialize in treating clients with anxiety and trauma using EMDR and also offer ADHD/ADD counseling.
At Athena Psychological Services, the assessment process begins by partnering with each client to better understand their experience, concerns and goals. A diagnosis is made and a plan is developed to help solve the issues and work to heal clinical symptoms such as trauma, anxiety, or attention issues. Clients describe services as "effective" and "modern".
I use a variety of therapeutic techniques including skill building, brain performance optimization, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), EMDR, and Alpha-Stim CES which gently balances brain waves and is FDA cleared for treating depression, anxiety, pain, and insomnia. I am certified in treating trauma and have completed EMDRIA-approved EMDR training.

Today's teachers face unprecedented classroom sizes, paperwork, pressure to meet testing standards and incredible responsibility for providing a safe and effective environment! All of this is expected despite tremendous barriers and lessened classroom support. Teachers have one the hardest jobs and work the longest hours, often experiencing burnout, anxiety, depression, insomnia, fatigue, and sometimes even safety concerns and trauma. This small group focuses on obtaining support and learning skills for self-care, boundary setting and maintaining, coping skills for anxiety, depression, and sleep hygiene, time management and more! I also offer individual therapy focusing on helping teachers as well!
