Finding the right therapist can be a very daunting task and produce undue anxiety. I am here to reduce the stress associated with the process. My commitment to clients is to create a safe space for those to feel comfortable to share their story. Clients ultimately have the answer, but through our work together I can help you uncover what was there all along. The therapeutic process is not like a dry erase board where problems can be wiped away , but rather a series of opportunities to attain the tools necessary to COPE...Climb Over Problems Everyday.
I have been working with adolescents and families since 2001 in the community and school setting. My therapeutic approach and training is centered around, but not limited to, Trauma Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Interventions.
I’m a wife of a pastor, mother of two amazingly different children, a former school counselor, and a baker. I’ve always been drawn to helping people and bringing joy to their life. Whether it is through counseling, baking, leading praise and worship, or even just playing a round of cards, I am strengthened by the relationships I form and imparting on others.
