Depression, loneliness, anxiety and grief happen to us all - even little ones. I help individuals, adults, and children and their families create paths of coping, change, and healthier communication using practical and researched counseling methods. This is offered in a nonjudgemental, safe and engaging environment.

Play therapy techniques are used primarily with children and I work with Parents/Caretakers to enhance Parent Skills. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Person Centered Counseling provide the framework for individualized plans for depression, stress, anxiety, loss, trauma or transition.

For children I use Play Therapy Techniques combined with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). For adults I primarily use CBT. CBT offers a foundational understanding of how we are triggered by perceived threats and early patterns of thinking, sensing, and behaving that can disrupt our lives or create distress. Together we learn new strategies for pushing back on the disruptive patterns.
