An ideal client is one that is motivated, accepting of OPEN communication and willing to stay the course even if the therapeutic experience is difficult. Clients are often challenged by anxiety, acute/situational depression as well as other issues and disorders that can impact day to day quality of life. Clients are looking for a safe space to feel acknowledged, empowered and respected. My job is to assure them that they are in a secure environment where we can weather their journey together.
Each client is an individual, so my approach will be specific to their needs and goals. My job is to support, listen, guide and be non-judgemental. Through various techniques and methods, I can help clients learn more effective coping strategies, easier ways to manage their emotions, and develop positive life skills to gain a clearer perspective.
I invite each client to trust me with their story. It is unique to them, but does not have to define them. Each story can be shifted and redirected down a different path. Together, we can discover new ways to overcome obstacles, motivate, accept and cope. The journey may be difficult, but growth and empowerment are worth the challenge.
