As an integrative psychotherapist who incorporates a range of psychodynamic and mind/body modalities and techniques, I work with individuals and couples. My passion to provide the best treatment I can is informed by ongoing learning and integration of the latest research. Following 4 years of relational psychoanalytic training, I started years of intensive study of trauma, EMDR, mindfulness, and Somatic Psychotherapy. Additionally, I have a speciality in couples counseling and trained in the Gottman Method and Sue Johnson's Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples. I consider myself an EFT therapist.
My somatic psychotherapy background has given me skills to help people manage anxiety, depression and stress. I work using breathwork, mindfulness, and learning to "settle" in the body. Extensive training in Couples Therapy has given me the tools to provide couples with skills to manage conflict and deepen intimacy.
My core belief is that compassion and respect are foundational to a successful therapy experience. The personal connection and safety created in therapy is what allows change to happen. I am active, engaged, collaborative and flexible. My approach is profoundly humanistic and client centered.
