Jane Evelyn Walvoord
Clinical Social Work/Therapist, MSSW, LCSW, CertPsa
I'm a psychotherapist and psychoanalyst with more than 40 years experience in private practice. I graduated from Columbia University School of Social Work in 1974, Dallas Psychoanalytic Institute in 2003 and was certified by the American Psychoanalytic Association in 2006. There are times when life can be a struggle. It may be about your personal relationships, achievements at work, or life's transitions. You may also feel depressed or suffer from panic attacks or chronic anxiety.I have many years experience and postgraduate education, making it possible for me to work successfully with people in need.
I can work with you in a therapeutic situation to better understand yourself and why you do the things you do. Understanding leads to more confidence, greater accomplishment in decision making and more passion and enjoyment in life. I work with adults individually, as well as with couples and families.
I'm a published clinical writer and I have also written for The American Psychoanalyst, a newsletter/magazine of the American Psychoanalytic Association. *Served on TAP editorial board as Senior Correspondent. *Served as faculty at Oregon Psychoanalytic Center. *Served as faculty at the Dallas Psychoanalytic Center.
