My name is Jane Tazuko Bond, I'm a licensed psychotherapist of African and Asian descent. I have a private practice located in the beautiful bay area, which is mostly known for the near-perfect year-round weather and the diversity of the people. I was born in Louisville Kentucky but raised mostly in the bay area. My father is a native Kentuckian and member of a national black family whose several generations since slavery have devoted their lives to black leadership and public service.
As a biracial psychotherapist, I bring a socio-cultural-historical dimension to my approach to therapy, which weaves an understanding of the existence of what we call the mind. This marrying of the mind and the interrelationship with the world around us can have a profound influence on our perception of ourselves, others, and our current situation.
