<COVID-19: I do online and in person counseling> Life hurts in so many ways—loss, rejection, shame, failure—and in protecting yourself you may get stuck in anger, depression, anxiety, addiction, or some other way of fighting off the pain. This may hurt your marriage, family, and work and your ability to deal well with change and loss. Your pain needs caring attention so you can find your way back to your true self. I would be honored to join you in this important and brave work. I take very seriously the concerns you bring for us to consider together and also believe it is important to try to understand the underlying causes.
I have learned through years of pastoral counseling with singles, couples, and adolescents that a compassionate presence is healing. I especially want to help those who struggle with depression, loss, anxiety, addiction, and relationship issues to move from actions and thoughts that limit and harm you into ways that help you flourish.
Good work will require us both to be fully and honestly engaged as we work together to discover your internal tensions, fears, avoidances, and all that diminishes you. I will journey with you to discover and foster your true and unique beauty that has been disfigured and suppressed. My goal is to be fully accepting of you and honoring of all you bring.
