As someone who learned to balance multiple cultures, I know what it's like to straddle various parts of your identity. This has informed my practice & work with clients. I strongly believe our emotions guide us to understanding ourselves in a new light. Asking for help can be difficult, especially in a culture that values productivity over personality.
I primarily use Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) along with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) & the Gottman Method. That said, I choose the mode of treatment after identifying my client's strengths & bring forth a collaborative approach to therapy. I provide Immigration evaluations - VAWA, Extreme Hardship, Asylum and U Visa.
I offer a warm, compassionate & empathetic approach while being direct as/when needed. Rather than calling you out, I invite you in, to look at things together & explore how to move forward. After working together, my clients have a better understanding of themselves, recognize patterns that keep them stuck, & harness the power of their emotions.
