This is a very unsettling time for many and being able to help my clients find their footing in such an uncertain time is my passion. I work with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and trauma. My approach is to provide a safe, nonjudgemental space for growth to occur. I am comfortable working with clients who have struggled with past therapists and feel as if they are unable to use their voice or feel lost. I am comfortable working with individuals and couples, and often explore and help resolve maladaptive patterns, cognitions, and intimacy issues that many people struggle with.
I use CBT, EMDR, and a holistic psychology approach in working with clients. I am an expert in CBT having taught this course at the graduate-level at NYU. I am firmly rooted in "bottom up" modalities focused on neurobiology and mind-body approaches. We all have the answers within; we may not have been taught how to listen to that inner intelligence.
Change is difficult when you don't have the proper tools or have healthy role models. Many of us have experienced trauma, feelings of separation, and discontent. My approach is to help you identify and change these maladaptive patterns using a new cognitive behavioral intervention called ICBT which I have developed and have taught to other clinicians.
