My practice is based on the belief that we all have the potential for growth, and we have the ability to create meaning and happiness in our lives. I am a licensed therapist with an education in social work and an ACSW. I have been in private practice for over twenty years. I have seen that growth and positive change can occur in therapy, and I offer a safe and supportive setting where new insights and understanding can be gained. That first step, making the contact with a therapist, can be the hardest step, but it can also be incredibly rewarding.
My education and practice are broad; I use an integrative treatment approach, incorporating techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, crisis work and solution-focused therapy. The issues I can help with include depression, anxiety and stress reduction, grief and loss, anger management and interpersonal relationships.
My practice focuses on providing adolescents, adults and couples with support and insight during life challenges and transitions. I am interested in helping people deal with the issues that matter to them, and to assist them in finding their way forward.
