We're all part of a family, our family of origin and our nuclear family. The heart of my work is assisting families to benefit all their members. Shaped by our families, we easily fall into automatic emotional reactions and predictable behavior patterns. By becoming aware of these instinctive patterns, one can make conscious changes, and not only become more responsible in the family, but also, paradoxically, grow more emotionally free as individuals.
Clients seek to understand behavior, their own and others. People with motivation and influence in a family, are ideal clients. Though family leaders are often not the person with symptoms; spouses, mothers, fathers, and grandparents can all make changes that affect everyone, including family members with symptoms.
