Are you tired of traditional "talk therapy," or have you hit a plateau in your treatment? Are you a healthcare worker (physical, mental, spiritual) with compassion fatigue? Do you struggle with staying emotionally regulated when triggered, and it seems you get triggered a lot? Would you like to come from a place of empowerment rather than a place of reactivity? I think we all would, and yet what drives our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors is usually unconsciously held, unprocessed trauma stored in the body...and it's hard to change ingrained patterns on your own.
I use a whole-brain approach by using mindful, somatic psychotherapy (Hakomi). I bring all of my nursing knowledge and my yoga teacher training experience into the therapy room. I can help guide you in slowing down, attending to bodily sensations, and getting curious about these "parts" that are holding past burdens.
This is called "bottom-up" processing, and we can use this to heal trauma. Trauma disconnects us from ourselves, the Earth, and each other. Connecting back to your body in a safe and resourced way naturally brings wholeness. I can help you cultivate this interoceptive awareness within to help you on your healing path, stepping into the life you want to live.
