I enjoy working with children, adolescents and families (ages 0-18). I have experience working as a therapist and a medical social worker for children with special health needs. I take time to build a therapeutic relationship and get to know children and their family and focus on unique strengths and what is going well. I offer support and ideas to help build clients confidence and develop coping skills for the many different adjustments and life challenges families experience in a non-judgmental environment. I love using games and art projects.
I practice with a strengths based, solution focused, collaborative frame-work, I am certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My work is also informed by Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I am currently in a learning collaborative to learn child parent psychotherapy to work with caregivers and children ages 0-5 who have experienced trauma.
