About
It takes courage and strength to initiate and engage in therapeutic work. I respect and honor those seeking help and feel privileged for my role in their process. I work with adults to help relieve symptoms of anxiety and depression, improve their quality of relationships, heal past trauma and a variety of other human concerns. I have particular experience working with individuals who have experienced complex trauma. I help clients to become aware of beliefs, patterns, and behaviors that may be preventing them from living as fully as possible and help illuminate their range of possibilities.
Therapy is a collaborative and dynamic process, and I use compassion, acceptance, humor, observation as well as a balance of support and challenge to create an environment ideal for growth and healing to occur. I focus heavily on the "here and now" experience in my approach.
I believe that my continuing evolution as a person and a therapist are essential to providing you the best clinical care. As a result, I participate in ongoing professional training and consultation. I have specialized training in Gestalt, EMDR, and Emotion-Focused therapy with Individuals. Please contact me with any questions or to set up an appointment.
