I specialize in treating neuroplastic symptoms (ME/CFS, Long Covid, neural-circuit dizziness) for ages nine and up. I offer individual sessions, a four-week teen group, and a four-week adult group, as well as case consultations. I am trained in evidence-based mind-body approaches which include: Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy (EAET), and Attachment-Based Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (AB-ISTDP).
I am also certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator and trained in Child-Centered Play Therapy.
Sessions are tailored to individuals.
One of my clients was afraid to go outside; together we decided upon an outdoor crossbow exposure activity, more specifically, an anti-zombie target practice apocalypse exercise. Humans won. Sorry, not sorry, to any Zombies reading this. My client proved to herself she could choose to take an empowered stance by going outside and save humankind.
EAET focuses on the interplay between relationships, building emotional insight & experiencing feelings. AB-ISTDP conceptualizes anxiety as a feeling & somatic experience. Often, there is a sense of “if I could only get rid of this anxiety”. With AB-ISTDP we dig deeper intentionally to core feelings (i.e. love, anger, guilt, grief) underneath anxiety.
