I have a diverse training background with young children through adults which has granted me the privilege of working with culturally and demographically diverse individuals with various mental health and behavioral concerns, including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, substance use concerns, personality disorders, SMI, LGBTQ+ specific concerns, and developmental disorders including autism spectrum disorders and cognitive impairment. Throughout my career path, I have met so many amazing people who have not realized how amazing they truly were. It is a privilege to be able to help other people see their potential and strength.
I approach therapy in a collaborative fashion, integrating evidenced-based techniques (CBT, DBT, ACT,EMDR), developmental considerations, and mindfulness techniques with a humanistic approach and emphasis on individual self-efficacy. I feel that it is important to focus not just on what is not working in one’s life, but also what strengths can be built upon.
Therapy is about making a connection with a person who sees your life without your filter to provide insight and support while you collaborate on goals which are meaningful to you. I strive to meet each person where they are at to give them the best possible experience and outcomes. I am honored to be a part of this journey for the individuals I work with.
