About
Jamie Moran, LCSW, CGP, has worked in Mental Health and Health Care since 1984, focusing on individuals, couples, groups, and organizations. He currently leads six psychotherapy groups for Gay Men weekly in San Francisco, and the Pandemic has allowed for members to join from outside of the Bay Area. Current groups are on Zoom, in the office (reflecting Covid health guidelines for office meetings), or a hybrid combination.
Jamie addresses psychological principles impacted by societal variables such as gender, sexual orientation and trauma. Attention is placed on the clients original family system and underscores the client centered nature of therapy. Jamie has an interactive style that emphasizes the cooperative nature of team work.
Jamie leads workshops and trainings for mental health practitioners on group therapy/leadership and gay men's psychology. On the Faculty of The Psychotherapy Institute's Group Therapy Training Program, he led the Process Learning Group for Trainees for the years 2019-2022. Jamie is in his 5th year of leading an AGPA two-day Institute for group therapists.
