Seeking help from a professional is brave and in many cases, necessary first step for healing. Maybe you're trying to navigate a new diagnosis or have seen mental health professionals for years not feeling any better. I am here to help and teach you the skills you need to manage life's struggles, big and small. I provide honest, direct, and authentic feedback, with some humor sprinkled in. You can expect sessions with me to be interactive, supportive, yet challenging. My goal is to help you feel better and then titrate off of treatment, with “tune-ups” as needed. I am referred those who have not had success with previous providers.
A generalist at heart, I enjoy working with a variety of populations. I am trained in treating severe mental illness, eating disorders, personality disorders, mood, and anxiety in hospital, outpatient and academic settings applying culturally attuned, trauma informed evidence based interventions including but not limited to EMDR, CBT, DBT and psychodynamic.
I facilitate my sessions with compassion and provide a warm, supportive therapeutic environment with a direct approach, challenging you when appropriate.
