I utilize an attachment framework derived from Emotionally Focused Therapy and Story Informed Trauma Therapy (SITT) to help my clients understand how they came to be who they are.
My counseling style is attachment based, which means we look at what you learned by those who raised you, how you found comfort as a child, family dynamics, traumas experienced, how are these items impacting your life today and what does that look like?
My passion is meeting with clients who are experiencing distress and letting them know that it is normal. We can look at how each client was taught to handle distress and how to repair it. If the client feels completely lost, we will work together to identify new ways to feel safe and secure.
