About
Life is hard enough without being uncomfortable in your own body. It starts innocently enough: one diet doesn't work so you move to another. Before you know it, you're ashamed, frustrated, feeling less than, and trying to exercise to "burn it off." In a culture that condones this, it can be difficult to know when it's a problem. Yet you know this isn't quite right. Eating can seem hard. You aren't even sure you know how to eat anymore. There has to be a different way. I assure you, there is.
The other side of this is reachable. You live life, not consumed with thoughts of calories, meal planning, or working in a gym trip. You experience it, and you don't even have to work at it. Your body may not be perfect but you're comfortable. You don't have "the thoughts" much anymore, and when you do, you know how to handle it. Life is good. Life is full.
In my office, we give voice to the thoughts in your head. You can say the unspeakable things and we work through them together. I work with you to resolve trauma, to move past it, and learn new skills to help you in the hard moments. I use Health and Every Size and Intuitive Eating frameworks. I know you're tired, go to my website and set up a call.
