My name is Jamie Downs and I am a LICSW and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor providing psychotherapy services and individualized addictions counseling to those living in Morgantown, WV and the surrounding areas. Licensed in WV and PA. Telehealth appointments are also available for individuals in both WV and PA.
My approach to psychotherapy provides a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients are given an opportunity to develop more self-awareness. With this awareness, one then has more choice and freedom to make positive changes.
Having advanced training in cognitive-behavioral, EMDR, somatic mindfulness-based therapies, and addiction treatment, I incorporate variety of psychotherapy methods to meet the needs of my clients. I provide care for a variety of issues including stress, trauma, anxiety, PTSD, grief, anger, family issues, adjustment issues, depression, and addictions.
