I work with couples and individuals who feel stuck in painful cycles of conflict, disconnection, or misunderstanding - even when there is still deep love and care underneath. While many folks come to therapy believing that “communication” is the core issue, communication is simply the vessel by which deeper relational wounds and protective patterns reveal themselves.

More often, the real issue lies in how each person experiences differences within the relationship. Over time, these differences or “otherness” can begin to feel threatening. Partners may find themselves defending their autonomy, protecting against vulnerability, or trying to prove how they are more “right” - leaving both people feeling exhausted and alone.

I will assist you in slowing down and becoming curious about the patterns and contributions you bring into your relationships. This will require an understanding of how those patterns developed, what they protect, and how they may unintentionally contribute to the very distance that folks long to repair.
