Sometimes emotions aren't just emotions. They are HUGE. You may feel things more intensely than the people around you seem to. You might go from completely fine to completely overwhelmed, angry, anxious, hurt, or shut down before you have time to figure out what happened. Sometimes when the emotion takes over, its really hard to respond in the way you wish you could. This is the kind of work I love. I specialize in working with people who struggle with emotional regulation, intense emotions, relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression and feeling of being overwhelmed by their own thoughts and reactions.

My approach is heavily informed by Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I treat Depression, Anxiety, BPD and trauma. I am laid back, genuine and I have a sense of humor. We will have serious conversations but we will probably laugh too. I will be honest with you, challenge you when its helpful, and meet you where you are without judgement.

We will work on understanding what's happening underneath your reactions, learning how to tolerate difficult emotions without being controlled by them, navigating relationships more effectively and building a life that feels worth living, not just learning how to survive the next crisis.
