My clients are a wide-range of individuals—running the gamut from creative filmmakers to successful software engineers—and many are members of the BIPOC and AAPI community that struggle with work stress, ethnic identity, grief, relationship issues and family-of-origin difficulties. Many of my clients remark how quickly the awkwardness fades and appreciate our friendly, professional collaboration. Therapy is hard enough; it's easier when you actually like your shrink.
I hold a PsyD in Clinical Psychology, a practitioner doctorate degree (vs. a PhD, an academic one) and the highest level of training offered for therapists. In addition, I have a wide range of work experience, including leading community mental health clinics, running psych emergency calls as an EMT, and being assigned interviews as a magazine journalist.
What I do for clients: I am compassionate, comforting you in modalities informed by the most effective psychological theories and interventions, and earn your trust. I give it back, using that trust to help you feel more compassionate to yourself and rebuild trust with yourself. Schedule an initial session at liminalspace.io. I am confident I can help.
