Do you find yourself wanting more out of life? Are feelings of hopelessness, depression, or excessive worry hold you back from your dreams and goals? Reaching out is oftentimes the first step in regaining clarity and peace of mind. I believe that my job as a therapist is to listen, understand and foster positive change. I see children (12 and up), teenagers, and adults. Over fifteen years in the field of education has afforded me the opportunity to work with children, young adults, and their parents. I utilize a variety of treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy.

My specialties include working with individuals affected by anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders. Counseling young adults that are transitioning to independent living such as attending college is an area of interest. I have assisted these individuals on such issues as self-confidence, relationships, and problem-solving.

I am a licensed Master's Social Worker, graduating from Wayne State and possess advanced certification in the treatment of substance use disorders. It is my belief that a strong rapport between client and therapist is the primary factor in determining the success of therapy. My therapy style is collaborative, empathetic, and genuine.
