As a licensed clinical psychologist I enjoy helping individuals, couples, and families from myriad backgrounds see their strengths and overcome their challenges in order to achieve the highest level of functioning possible. I particularly enjoy challenges and have shared success with clients and families in situations and coping with problems which had seemed insurmountable or had lasted for many years. Using an integrated approach, I make sure that whatever I do is in the best interest of the client and is effective, adaptable, and most of all realistic with respect to where the client is and their goals in treatment.
When conducting psychoeducational assessments, I draw on previous experiences as not only as a psychologist, but also as a special education teacher and as a parent of children with special needs to work on making certain the schools have specific, tailored, useful and realistic recommendations to help the client succeed.
I have worked on literally every side of the table in a given IEP meeting, and am happy to use those experiences to the betterment of any client. I also conduct psychological assessments for individuals of all ages to aid with diagnostic clarification and development of comprehensive recommendations.
