There are times in our lives when nothing makes sense. There are moments when we struggle to manage what problems come our way, when we are depressed, anxious, or unsure about what to do. There are times when our emotions seem too big for us or conversely when our unhelpful thinking becomes a barrier to our lives. Having someone to talk to about these things and help us manage our days, to put in context that event we keep going over in our minds. What we want is to find peace and acceptance of the moment. This is where talking to someone can be helpful, an outside mind to put our thoughts and emotions in perspective.
I specialize in being able to help put things in perspective through an integrative approach using Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy, and other approaches. The idea is to understand what is at stake for the person struggling and how they can learn to find acceptance of their situation.
