I am a licensed therapist with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. From my initial years as a mobile therapist out in the community to the present time of private practice I have worked with and helped hundreds of people grow and improve their lives and relationships. I have witnessed first hand the transforming power of therapy with adolescents, teenagers, and adults ( both men and women). Imagine a place where you can express yourself safely and comfortably. The tenets of therapy I am schooled in are client centered, cognitive behavioral, and motivational interviewing. All of this culminates in the idea that the most effective therapy work resides in the “ here and now” of the therapy relationship. This is a safe space where a client grows and learns new things about themselves and their place in the world.
People come to therapy for a myriad of reasons. Some know initially what they are seeking and others discover their reason/reasons along the way. Both are valid and appropriate for therapy.
