I place no limits on clients' presenting challenges. I see several clients from minors to adults who are struggling with depression, substance use disorders, and anxiety. Also, I see a number of clients who are struggling with complicated grief or OCD or ADHD. All of my client's goals include developing coping skills to achieve better living conditions.
I listen a lot. I work with clients to establish goals that are attainable. My approach is honesty and sincerity. I believe that all clients can get better. I specialize in positive psychology.
Without empathy, I don't believe that counseling can take place. Caring about people from all walks of life is why I got into this field in the first place. I make no judgements about clients and strive to meet them where they are. I am multi-culturally competent as well.
