I once read an anonymous quote that reads: "You may not be able to control every situation and its outcome, but you can control how you deal with it" - that spoke to how I approach therapy with whomever I work with. It is life's challenges that seem to make each situation "out of our control" to add additional stress and conflict in whatever we do OR with whomever we have relationships with. My approach is to provide a way to get where you would like to be, but it won't be easy. I use a variety of approaches to best suit you individually OR to fit the circumstances you face.
It is impossible to imagine less-than-an an hour's time together, OR even a few sessions will "fix things" - so, it is with full transparency that you know my time with you will have "ups and downs" that require self-examination, soul searching, and "homework."
Using an informal communication style - I focus on a strengths-based approach and look to find ways for you to come up with mutually agreed coping mechanisms to replace those behaviors that have brought you to this point. I work with relational issues and am sensitive to cultural and spiritual issues to help you with life.
