My name is James Hunter MS, LPC, LCDC. I am 54 years old I have 26 years of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have worked in various levels of care from intensive inpatient, supported residential treatment programs, and outpatient treating a wide range of mental health symptoms. I Specialize in Cognitive & Behavioral Psychotherapies, Reality Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Existential approaches, Substance Use Disorders/Addiction counseling, and other modalities modified to your needs.
I have experience working with and treating Mood Disorders such as Depression & Anxiety type disorders with evidence-based treatment modalities. My approach can be very genuine, direct, and honest and while I may not always tell you"what you want to hear," I will provide feedback based on what is best to hear to help improve your insight into your problems.
