My eclectic approach to therapy begins with the belief that each person is the expert regarding their issues. Many people experience symptoms and challenges so uncomfortable that their instinct is to avoid thinking or talking about them. I help people discover ways to face the things bothering them and ultimately chart a path to fulfilling lives. I’ve worked as a therapist treating individuals and couples since 2017. I draw from training in a variety of evidence-based approaches and my personal journey in recovery from substance and alcohol abuse, beginning in 2008. I serve clients in Virginia and North Carolina.
I hold undergraduate degrees in Human Services, Social Work, and Psychology and a master’s in Clinical Social Work from Radford University in Virginia.
I offer in-person and Telehealth counseling to teens, adults, and couples struggling with mental health, substance abuse, or other challenging issues in Virginia and North Carolina (virtual only in NC). Call or email me for a no-charge consultation to get started.
