My approach to therapy is person centered, trauma informed, strength based, and culturally competent. I see people's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influenced by many genetic, biological, psychological, social, relationship, educational, occupational, and cultural factors. I work with clients to help them gain understanding of how their early relationships with others affect their current relationships through trauma-informed, CBT, attachment theory work. The world is a stressful place that can disrupt a person's health, wellness and relationships. I have seen others calm the storm with an integral holistic approach to therapy.
My clinical training focused heavily on cognitive behavioral and motivational enhancement therapies. My formal education placed an important emphasis on social justice work and I am an advocate. I have recently finished PESI credentialed courses in telehealth, cognitive behavioral therapy, and advanced clinical skills for the trauma informed therapist.
I am currently scheduling appointment times weekdays from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm and weekends from 11:30 am to 6:30 pm. Please call me and leave a message. In order to avoid professional dual licensure work conflicts, I will not be able to see clients who are currently patients in a Vt. Medicated Assisted Treatment program.
