Hi, my name is James. I’m a California-based Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 12 years of experience providing psychotherapy to youth, adults, and families, to help them feel empowered, engaged, and accepted in this world. I am a neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed therapist with an extensive clinical background in treating trauma with a strong emphasis on the connection between one’s environment, brain, and nervous system. I gravitate towards an eclectic therapeutic approach and tailor my sessions to each individual’s need, while always remaining strength-based.
I find that with hardships or obstacles, there can be valuable enlightenment, and moments that can truly strengthen one’s self-concept. In session, I exert patience, thoughtfulness, and understanding. I invite you to be curious about yourself and your experiences. I aim to help you build insight, take charge of your life, and heal.
Above all, connection and safety are the pillars of my practice. I welcome clients ages 10+ to experience a safe, non-judgmental space where they can feel respected and heard.
