In addition to being a Licensed Professional Counselor, I am also a School Counselor and coach. I had to overcome a lot of adversity which led me to pursue counseling as a career. I am really passionate about helping people through many different circumstances and situations. Everyone is different and my counseling approach is geared to the individual and presenting issue(s). I have worked with a variety of students/clients over the last 12 years so I am comfortable working with any issue or challenge. The most prevalent have been depression, ADHD, stress, anxiety, substance use, peer and family relationships, and grief.
If I had to choose a "specialty", it would be grief and male adolescents. My own life experiences and professional workshops have taught me a lot about grief. I have also worked in the school setting for the past 14 years. With my 10 years of coaching experience, I can also help with mental training and sports performance with athletes.
I really look forward to connecting with any potential client with the hopes of creating a collaborative working relationship. I truly want to make a difference and to be a healthy and safe outlet for each of my clients.
