Hello, my name is Jim Anderson and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW 125093). I thank you for considering me to accompany you on your journey. After serving in the U.S. Army for 8-years I obtained my Master of Social Work degree in 2004 and have been serving in the helping professions for over 20 years now. I am trained from a trauma-informed approach and draw elements from several therapeutic interventions including psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, task-centered, acceptance and commitment, mindfulness, and solution-focused.
My experience in community mental health allowed me to work with youth, adults, seniors, and veterans.
I like to create an environment centered around safety, empathy, and compassion. A full range of emotions is encouraged where we can do everything from laugh to celebrate or grieve.
