“I just want to be happy again.” This is a common response I receive when I ask my clients what they want to achieve through therapy. My mission is to help my clients become empowered to better navigate their struggles. I help people to become more self-sufficient in resolving the struggles they face. I put focus on the importance of taking care of the self; learning to put the self first for a change and understanding that this can benefit loved ones. It is not enough for me to teach my clients coping skills just to get through the day; they must understand and know their own abilities and resources to overcome difficulties.
I've been there. That's why I do this. I draw from my own personal experiences as well as my education through schooling and some of my best teachers: my clients. I help others overcome personal struggles of all types: fear, anxiety, depression, relationship issues. I offer a casual therapeutic environment and help my clients find their starting point.
Whether you are new to therapy or finding a new therapist, I am willing to work with you. I am empathetic to my client's personal needs and experiences; I believe every person has challenges that are very real to them. I understand the difficulty one can experience when opening up about dark moments in your life. We will start where you are comfortable.

I usually work with clients who are not coping well with anxiety and depression; trauma and family issues are usually seen with these. In the first session, I prefer to learn about the symptoms my clients are experiencing and how these symptoms impact them. It is also useful to discuss personal and family history. I prefer to meet my clients where they are most comfortable beginning.

I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my practice. With CBT, we explore how our thoughts affect how we feel. We will work on realizing what these thoughts are and how to counter them. I feel it is important for us to learn about how we experience our symptoms and how our experiences affect us. I also utilize systems theory to assist in understanding how our environments influence us.
