I am a United States Marine Corps veteran who received my bachelor’s degree from La Roche University majoring in Psychology and minoring in Religion and Philosophy. I received my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Slippery Rock University and I’m also a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) currently working on obtaining Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) status. I’m trauma-informed and work with older teens, ages 14 and above, and adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, grief, anger, addiction, spiritual formation, couples/marital conflict, and ADHD and Bipolar Disorder symptom management.
I utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches that include, but are not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), Emotionally Focused (EFT), Gottman methods, Imago, and Humanistic/Existential therapy approaches that are personalized to meet your current needs. I also offer therapy within a Christian framework upon request.
Today, I spend my free time with my wife, dog, and 2 cats; reading fantasy (I also include Lord of the Rings themes in my work as well); spending time with my friends, as I value community; and traveling and backpacking, as I have been to 25 different countries and traveled to more than half of America’s National Parks.
