I have 20 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and polycules. My books, Kink For Dummies, Polyamory For Dummies, and Great Sex: Mapping Your Desire, are based on a sexual liberation workshops I've offered on campuses and at LGBTQ+ rights conferences in the US and around the world. Most of us believe there is something 'wrong' with our sexuality - what we want/don't want, how we connect or fail to connect, what we know or don't know about our desire. In our work together, we discover the power of our sex his/her/theystories and plot a path to pleasure.
I've been a queer feminist activist for 30 years - my collaborators hail from all over the US, China, South Africa, South Korea, Russia, and Egypt. They've helped me fully understand that each person's sexuality journey is entirely your own. Many of us bury the truth of our desires out of shame or in an effort to please our partners or fit in.
My clients and workshoppers have ranged from age 16 to 72; embodying every gender and sexuality imaginable. And this is the singular thing we all have in common: We all lie about what we want. We lie to ourselves, our partners, our crushes, our friends. Desire Mapping helps us stand in our sex and desire truths.
