I know that seeking therapy can be an intensely vulnerable act. My goal as your therapist will be to meet that vulnerability with the care and understanding that it deserves. This means approaching your concerns with curiosity and respect for all of the identities and experiences that you bring to the table. I have extensive experience working with adults with a variety of backgrounds, and make every effort to acknowledge how your environment, cultural factors and systems of power/oppression have shaped the concerns that have brought you to therapy.
I work with a wide array of concerns (anxiety, depression, trauma, gender exploration, relationship distress, etc.) by helping clients explore the connection between their emotions and needs. My style pulls from the Rogerian approach, which provides a non-judgmental space for you to find your own path forward instead of focusing exclusively on coping.
I believe that psychotherapy is a collaborative effort between client and therapist that has the potential to bring together the seemingly disorganized parts of ourselves, and would love to help you tap into your innate ability to pursue directions in life that leave you fulfilled and connected!
