I offer individual, couples/marital, teen therapy, and group counseling (founder of Therapy Boxing). I am a husband, a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. My expertise is working in the area of anxiety, depression, and dissociative disorders. I utilize the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) model for most cases, and Certified in Neuro-Psychotherapy, and trained in EMDR. I am also fluent in speaking Spanish. I am also the the Founder and Owner of New Horizon Counseling Center.
CBT is a psychotherapy that is based on cognition, assumptions, beliefs, and behaviors, and also it aims of influencing negative emotions that relate to inaccurate appraisal of events. What enables CBT to be briefer are its highly instructive nature and the fact that it makes use of homework.
