About
My intention is to help people discover lasting pathways to feel better. I will bring my warmth, heart, experience and presence to our unique collaboration as we focus on how you want to feel in your life. I practice a body-centered approach to counseling. Woven through our talking together will be periods of mindfulness and tuning in as a way to deepen awareness, growth and healing. When we have the support we need--we feel more freedom to be ourselves emotionally, intellectually, physically and spiritually. As distortions release--we naturally heal, improve our relationships, and make authentic life choices that feel good.
Since 1990 I have helped people with anxiety, depression, addiction issues, relationships, life transitions, loss, illness, pain, healing, creative challenges, recent and past trauma, and high sensitivity (HSP). I work with individuals, couples, older adolescents, and adults. In addition to counseling and psychotherapy, I provide clinical supervision for other clinicians.
Jaime Beth Gershman has developed a unique, heartfelt & intuitive approach to helping people. Her extensive training in Body-Centered Gestalt Counseling, yoga certification, expressive arts explorations & past work in mental health/addiction treatment settings inform her approach. She believes that even deeply engrained patterns will shift with skillful attention & kindness.
