I am Jaelyn Aragon, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who specializes in working with children, teens, and adults struggling to cope with issues related to addiction, depression, anxiety, underdeveloped coping skills, chronic illness, family conflict, trauma, PTSD, sexual or physical abuse, parenting difficulties, and much more. My journey into counseling began with my work at Safe Passage Children’s Advocacy Center, where I volunteered for over two years. This experience taught me the value of meeting a client wherever they are, both in mindset and situation, and how to respond to a range of emotional challenges.
I work from a person-centered approach that borrows strategies from narrative therapy and insights from an existential lens. I believe that the client is the expert on themselves, but may need guidance from a counselor to help navigate the trials and tribulations of life.
