Jae Swanson (they/them) is a trauma-informed Licensed Professional Counselor and Board-Certified Music Therapist with over 10 years of experience specializing in anxiety, depression, Autism Spectrum, grief/bereavement, terminal illness, LGBTQIA+ issues, gender identity, and issues related to systemic oppression. Jae has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults of all ages, individually and in groups.
They utilize an integrative approach to counseling that is relational, client-centered, strengths-based, anti-oppressive, and psychodynamic, and when appropriate, includes music therapy, art activities, mindfulness, and play into their clinical work.
Jae received their Masters in Music Therapy with a concentration in counseling from Temple University. In their free time, Jae enjoys listening to music and podcasts, spending time with their pitbull, Lena, hiking, lifting kettlebells, and reading. Jae identifies as queer and gender non-binary/non-conforming.
