Life is full of messy bits, sometimes these are unforeseen issues that pop up out of our control and sometimes they are a product of our own design. Regardless, in a culture where we must present as put together, in control, etc., it gets a little hard to trudge the water. If we aren’t careful this can lead to emotional, behavioral, interpersonal, and self dysregulation. At Just Keep Swimming Counseling, LLC, and my group practice Keep Evolving Beyond Therapy, I strive to create a healthy, safe space in order to set goals for growth, face challenges, and gain introspection to be a fuller, healthier you.

I am a DBT-Linehan Board of Certification, Certified Clinician. I am also intensely trained in RO DBT for my overcontrolled clients & DBT PE for trauma work. I only take clients who are ready to commit to DBT or RO DBT. I am also a Qualified Supervisor MHC and offer supervision to Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns.

Radically Open DBT Skill Class (18plus)- Paused

Radically Open DBT is a new evidence-based treatment that targets over-controlled coping, rigid behavioral responses, and emotional inhibition. ‘Self-control’ is usually seen as a good thing. However, too much self-control can cause difficulties. A growing body of research shows that excessive self-control is associated with problematic relationships, hyper-perfectionism, chronic depression, social anxiety, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive traits, and autism spectrum disorders. (Lynch, 2018). This in-person class introduces 30 skills of psychological health, including flexibility, openness, and fostering healthy connections. Learn and practice the principles of Radical Openness with intensely trained RO DBT therapists.
