By now you may feel like you've tried everything. Perhaps your home has become a battleground, filled with fights that repeat over and over without any progress. Maybe you feel like you have hit a wall with your partner and aren’t sure how to move forward, or maybe you feel stuck, watching from the sidelines as your child navigates the many challenges of adolescence. Taking action can help resolve these feelings of helplessness and taking the initiative to seek treatment is the first step forward. If you or your child is struggling to live a fulfilling life—or even struggling to make it through the day—it’s time to seek help.
Working from an emotion-focused lens, I help couples and families find their way back to each other after conflict and distance have settled in. I can teach you communication skills to open up a closed-off relationship as well as identify where the relationship got off track. Through collaboration, I can give you the tools you need to heal your relationship.
In my work with kids, I help children to develop coping mechanisms and alter negative behavior patterns. Interpersonal distress can lead to withdrawal, stormy emotions and acting out. I believe that positive relationships provide the safety and stability for us to be our best selves. Call or email today to see if I am the right therapist for your family.
