I enjoy working with people dealing with life transitions, and those working to survive and thrive through trauma, depression, anxiety, and other oppressive life events and conditions. I have an affinity for those identifying with issues related to being a woman in a society that has been unkind to women. The people with whom I work want to reach their personal best and feel good about themselves and their lives. They also want to drop the "mask" and live authentically without regret.
I use a relational and collaborative approach whereby I "walk" side by side with people, helping to point out options and possibilities while offering support and unconditional positive regard.
I consider myself a "container" of sorts. I can hold a great deal of strong affect and emotions without judgment. I am an active, reflective listener who takes great care to tune in to the needs of my clients and offer feedback as needed and desired.
