No matter who you are, modern life requires that you juggle many roles and responsibilities, in limited amounts of time. Feeling like you're constantly behind and trying to catch up contributes to feelings of anxiety, which left unchecked can turn into depression and unhealthy patterns of coping. I help clients take control of their emotional lives by setting boundaries and discovering their inner strength to make new choices. My goal is to replace feelings of abandonment, anger, loneliness, and loss with hope.
I believe that part of healing lies in a client's ability to tell and retell their story until it makes sense to them. As a former documentarian /writer I use my past skillset to help clients track and understand their truth until they feel ready to move on.
I work with challenges related to parenting, grief, infidelity, sexual orientation, addiction and abuse. I provide a supportive, non-judgmental environment and see individuals, couples, adolescents and families.I use an eclectic mix of psychodynamic, somatic, CBT and interpersonal therapy tailored to each individual client's needs.
